Maintenance / Restoration Technician 

Located in: Latham, NY

 

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

 

Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals of Albany, NY has teamed up with a property management and restoration client to help them find a Maintenance / Restoration Technician. This is a multi-faceted, hands-on role involving general property maintenance and repair, interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, demolition, cleanup, material removal, rebuilding, and assisting with water or fire damage restoration projects.

 

Pay Rate:

• $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform general property maintenance and repair work
• Complete drywall repairs, basic carpentry, minor repairs, and facility upkeep
• Prepare surfaces for painting through patching, sanding, and priming
• Complete interior and exterior painting and finishing
• Assist with water and fire damage restoration projects
• Perform demolition, cleanup, and material removal as needed
• Assist with rebuilding and repair work following restoration projects
• Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, painting equipment, and restoration equipment safely
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow project instructions and complete work to established quality and safety standards
• Travel to different customer and project locations throughout the Capital Region as needed 

Experience Required:

• Previous experience in property maintenance, painting, restoration, remodeling, construction, facilities maintenance, or a related hands-on trade preferred
• Experience using common hand and power tools
• Painting, drywall, carpentry, or general repair experience is strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable performing a variety of duties rather than working in one specialized function

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Comfortable working in active construction and restoration environments
