Our Scarborough client, an industry leader in designing and manufacturing retail displays, is looking for a Welder to join their growing team!

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components
• Fabricate custom retail displays, fixtures, shelving systems, and structural components
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Set up welding equipment and adjust machine settings based on project requirements
• Create, follow, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Grind, deburr, and finish welded components to meet appearance and quality requirements
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications
• Perform basic measurements using tape measures, calipers, and angle gauges
• Identify and report material defects and equipment issues
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks
• Tag, label, and organize completed work orders and finished products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all ISO, OHSA, company quality, and safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of Welding experience
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Ability to troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent attention to detail

Bonus Qualifications:

• CWB Certification (asset)
• Laser welding experience (asset)
• Experience working in a custom fabrication, display manufacturing, or fixture manufacturing environment (asset)

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Pay Rate: $22-25 per hour
