Concrete Finisher
Job Type: Full-Time

$23/hr + depending on experience
Travel: Primarily throughout Louisiana

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals – Downtown Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher / Form Carpenter for a full-time opportunity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience forming, pouring, and finishing concrete flatwork and walls to precise tolerances and be comfortable working on active construction sites around heavy equipment.

Candidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, able to follow the direction of a foreman, and willing to travel primarily throughout the state of Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Form, pour, and finish concrete flatwork to specified tolerances
• Pour and finish concrete walls
• Set and maintain stringlines for proper grade and alignment
• Build, set, strip, and wreck concrete forms
• Perform pointing, patching, and concrete repair work
• Ensure finished concrete meets required specifications and quality standards
• Work safely around pavers, concrete trucks, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment
• Follow instructions and specifications provided by the foreman
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Assist with other concrete and construction duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial concrete work
• Strong knowledge of forming, pouring, and finishing concrete
• Experience finishing flatwork and concrete walls
• Ability to perform accurate point and patch work
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding construction work
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and active construction sites
• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
• Must be willing and able to travel, primarily within Louisiana
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when working to precise tolerances
