A growing organization in Wyoming, Michigan is seeking an experienced Recruiter to support hiring efforts on a part-time, contract basis. This role is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting for a variety of positions, partnering closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, and delivering a strong candidate experience from initial outreach through offer.

The ideal Recruiter is organized, relationship-driven, and comfortable working independently in a flexible, fast-paced environment. This individual brings strong sourcing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to represent the organization’s mission, culture, and values with professionalism and authenticity.

Recruiter Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and offer support
Partner with hiring managers to clarify position requirements, timelines, and hiring priorities
Develop and post job descriptions aligned with organizational needs and branding standards
Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and direct outreach
Conduct phone and virtual screenings to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit
Coordinate interviews, communicate next steps, and maintain timely follow-up with candidates
Ensure a positive, inclusive, and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process
Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate candidate records in applicant tracking systems or spreadsheets
Support background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment requirements as needed
Provide regular updates to hiring managers on recruiting progress and pipeline status
Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws and organizational policies
Assist with additional talent-related projects as assigned

Schedule: Part-time, contract; flexible hours based on hiring needs

Recruiter Qualifications

Required:

2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience (agency or in-house)
Experience managing full-cycle recruiting across multiple roles
Strong sourcing and candidate outreach skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail

Preferred:

Experience recruiting for nonprofit, healthcare, manufacturing, or mission-driven organizations
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and LinkedIn Recruiter
Contract or fractional recruiting experience
