Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch

Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an entry-level Front Office Receptionist to join a busy office environment.

This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable talking on the phone, enjoys interacting with people, and is eager to learn. You will be trained on the multi-line phone system, so previous experience is not required.

The right person will be happy to spend part of their day answering phones and talking with customers and callers. Curiosity, a willingness to learn, and basic computer skills are more important than extensive office experience.

Job Duties

• Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately
• Learn and use a multi-line phone system
• Take and deliver messages
• Greet customers and visitors
• Complete basic data entry
• Learn basic filing and document organization
• Enter information into Excel spreadsheets and internal systems
• Assist with general office duties
• Learn and apply in-house software
• Assist with special projects and research as needed

Qualifications

• Comfortable talking on the phone and interacting with people
• Must enjoy being on the phone
• Friendly, professional communication style
• Curious and eager to learn
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks
• Comfortable learning new computer systems
• Previous receptionist or office experience is helpful, but not required
• Multi-line phone experience is not required — training provided
