Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Counter Sales / Warehouse Associate. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers but is also comfortable staying active in a warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, be comfortable using a computer, and have the ability to learn electrical products and company systems. Previous electrical wholesale or distribution experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates with strong customer service and warehouse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the sales counter and help determine their material needs

• Take and process customer orders

• Prepare quotes for electrical materials

• Enter orders and customer information into computer systems

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers

• Pull, organize, and stage customer orders

• Assist customers with loading their orders

• Help with occasional local deliveries

• Maintain an organized and safe warehouse and counter area

• Learn company products, procedures, and computer systems

• Assist with other branch duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous electrical, wholesale, distribution, counter sales, or warehouse experience preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Comfortable working directly with customers and vendors

• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Comfortable working in a role that combines counter sales and warehouse responsibilities

• Ability to safely lift and move materials as needed
