Service Technician – Modular Homes

Wage: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (typically starting around $30.00/hour)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to join our team in Red Deer. This hands-on position involves setting up modular homes after delivery, completing finishing work and repairs, and performing warranty service at customer sites throughout Central Alberta.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded tradesperson who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and providing exceptional customer service.

Skills needed almost every week:

• Trim, baseboard, casing, door adjustments and hardware
• Drywall repair, taping and mudding, at a reasonable pace
• Painting and touch-ups
• Flooring: mostly lino, vinyl plank sometimes, carpet (rare)
• Tile/Grout work
• Cabinetry: install, adjust, repair
• Minor plumbing: PEX and ABS, faucets, traps, hooking up fixtures
• Minor electrical: switches, receptacles, light fixtures, breakers
• Siding and exterior repair after transport

Occasional:

• Shingles
• Ducting
• Framing

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with broad construction and renovation experience. Experience in all areas is not required, but the more versatile your skill set, the better.

Additional experience considered an asset:

• Basic electrical work
• Plumbing (PEX and ABS systems)
• Drywall
• Painting

Requirements

• Valid driver's licence
• Clean driver's abstract, particularly over the past three years
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout Alberta
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m.
• Ability to work overtime when required

Travel Requirements

This position involves regular travel to customer sites. Depending on project requirements and location, overnight travel may be required for up to one week at a time.

When overnight travel is necessary, hotel accommodations and meals are fully covered by the company.
