Quality Assurance Engineer – Manufacturing

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: DOE – Based on Experience
Job Type: Full-Time | Day Shift

A growing advanced manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer / Quality Engineer to support quality systems, engineering documentation, process improvement, inspections, and manufacturing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong experience in ISO 9001, GD&T, metrology, root cause analysis, corrective actions, SPC, and engineering drawings.

What You’ll Do

• Review and approve new and revised engineering drawings, DCNs, Quality Control Inspection Plans (QCIPs), and quality documentation
• Support and maintain the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Conduct and assist with internal quality audits
• Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) processes
• Analyze quality and production data to identify trends, defects, and opportunities for improvement
• Create reports, graphs, charts, and tables to communicate quality findings
• Lead or support root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Utilize problem-solving methods including 8D, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, and Corrective Action Reports
• Develop and formalize quality-related training programs and train appropriate personnel
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams
• Support weld testing processes and perform production weld tests as needed
• Assist with additional Quality Assurance and Quality Control initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
• Approximately 6 years of related Quality Engineering experience, or a strong combination of relevant education and experience
• Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and internal auditing
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, metrology, engineering drawings, and print reading
• Experience in a manufacturing, quality, process, engineering, or R&D environment
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques
• Experience with SPC, quality data analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
• Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills
