Recovery Technician

Located in Grand Rapids Township, MI

Salary: $25-$32/HR

Recovery Technician Summary: An established leader in the windows and doors industry is looking for an experienced Recovery Technician to join their team. This position will travel to customer homes and jobsites to complete finish work, repairs, and adjustments following window and door installations. The ideal candidate has a strong finish carpentry or residential construction background, is comfortable working independently, and provides excellent customer service.

Recovery Technician Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer homes and jobsites to complete finish work following window and door installations
• Complete trim, caulking, hardware installation, adjustments, and other finishing work
• Perform jobsite repairs and correct installation-related issues
• Inspect completed work and identify items that still need to be addressed
• Verify measurements and order information when needed
• Troubleshoot issues and determine the appropriate repair or adjustment
• Communicate with customers regarding work being completed and address questions or concerns
• Use hand and power tools to complete carpentry and repair work
• Document completed work and job information using an iPad
• Maintain communication regarding schedule changes, delays, or additional work needed
• Keep customer homes and jobsites clean and organized
• Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and equipment
• Work independently on most jobs and alongside other technicians when needed

Schedule & Pay:

• Monday - Friday, 7am start. End time typically between 3pm-5pm depending on service calls. Average 45-50 hours per week

• $25/HR - $32/HR DOE

Recovery Technician Qualifications:

• Previous finish carpentry, window/door installation, residential remodeling, handyman, or similar construction experience
• Strong hands-on carpentry skills with experience completing trim and finish work
• Experience with caulking, hardware, measurements, adjustments, and residential repairs
• Knowledge of window and door installation strongly preferred
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working independently at customer homes and jobsites
• Professional and respectful with strong customer service skills
• Ability to handle customer concerns and jobsite issues professionally
• Comfortable using an iPad or similar technology to document work
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements
• Comfortable working from ladders and at heights, including second- and third-story work
• Ability to regularly lift 50+ lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively
