Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Handyman. In this role, you will perform routine facility maintenance, rapid-response building repairs, and cosmetic touch-ups across our commercial spaces. You will work independently or alongside third-party vendors to minimize downtime and maintain a highly professional environment for our staff and clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance: Inspect and service building systems, including replacing commercial HVAC filters, testing emergency exit lighting, and repairing door closers or panic bars.
• Minor Electrical: Troubleshoot and replace faulty ballasts, light switches, electrical outlets, electrical disconnects on AC units and ATMs.
• Carpentry & Masonry: Patch and paint drywall in high-traffic areas, repair ceiling tiles, fix office furniture, and repair commercial flooring or trim.
• Vendor Coordination: Document larger mechanical or structural issues and escort specialized contractors (e.g., commercial electricians or plumbers) when needed.

 

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, property management, or construction trades.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency with advanced power tools, diagnostic equipment, and commercial hardware.
• Problem Solving: Ability to assess facility issues quickly and implement safe, code-compliant solutions under tight timelines.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to climb tall ladders, work in tight mechanical spaces, and lift or move objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Professionalism: Strong communication and customer service skills when working around active business operations, employees, and customers.
