Overnight Packer/Bander

Location: University Park, IL
Pay: $22.00/hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

A growing steel distribution company in University Park is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and responsible Overnight Packer/Bander to join their team. This is a great opportunity with room for advancement, cross-training opportunities, and long-term potential.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• First Day Orientation/Training: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Packaging and banding steel products
• Material handling
• Working with computers and production systems
• Reading tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
• Assisting with shipping and warehouse operations
• Cross-training in multiple departments
• Following all safety and quality procedures

Requirements

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work overnight shifts
• Metatarsal boots required
• Must pass a drug screen and background check
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Resume required
• Minimum 1 year of continuous employment at previous jobs
• Ability to accurately read measuring tools including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
