Now Hiring: Engine & Machine Shop Apprentices!
Express Employment Professionals is seeking mechanically inclined professionals to support engine rebuilding, component restoration, and machine shop operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with specialized equipment, precision engine components, and experienced technicians in a fast-paced shop environment.

What You'll Do

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and prepare engine components for rebuild and reassembly
• Remove and install valve train components, valve seats, and related cylinder head parts
• Operate parts washers, ultrasonic cleaners, sandblasters, and other shop equipment
• Perform surface preparation, cleaning, grinding, and component inspections
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, presses, and precision measuring equipment
• Assist with engine, generator, and mechanical component repairs
• Document inspections and maintain accurate shop records
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We're Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in engines and equipment repair
• Experience with engines, generators, automotive, heavy equipment, oilfield equipment, or maintenance preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn shop software systems
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or trade school training is a plus
• Forklift experience is a plus

Requirements

• Clean background check required
• Drug screening required
• FIT/WorkSTEPS physical required
• Ability to obtain forklift and crane certifications during employment
• Ability to lift, move, and organize heavy engine components throughout the workday
