Electrical Winder

Location: Pasco, WA
Pay: $23.00-$34.00/hour, based on experience and education
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time

 

We are recruiting an Electrical Winder for a well-established operation in Pasco. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with motor rewinding experience or a mechanically skilled candidate who wants to continue developing specialized skills in electric motor repair.

You'll work hands-on with motors, armatures, rotors, windings, and other electro-mechanical equipment while becoming an important part of a skilled shop team.

 

What You'll Do

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and document electro-mechanical equipment
• Disassemble and prepare motors and components for repair
• Inspect electrical and mechanical components for wear or damage
• Rewind electric motors using proper winding and insulation techniques
• Work with armatures, rotors, wound rotors, DC fields, and synchronous fields
• Operate winding machines, surge testers, test panels, and core-loss testing equipment
• Use burnout and bake ovens, grinders, dip tanks, and VPI equipment
• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hand tools, and power tools
• Complete repair and job documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow established safety procedures and EASA standards
• Continue developing your skills in motor inspection, testing, repair, and rewinding

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures and retain technical training
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
• Ability to pass required background and drug/alcohol screening
• Ability to work occasional overtime or weekends based on business needs

Experience that could make you a great fit:

• Electric motor winding or rewinding
• Electric motor or pump repair
• Industrial electrical work
• Electro-mechanical repair
• Industrial maintenance
• Manufacturing or machine repair
• Generator or rotating-equipment repair
• Electrical troubleshooting

Prior motor winding experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical or electrical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
