Quality Assurance Technician

Yuba City

$17.50/hour

Schedule Monday-Friday 5am-2:30pm with overtime as needed

 

 

Job Duties Include:

• Responsible for managing HACCP, GMPs, and safety/regulatory requirements
• Conduct metal detector checks following HACCP and/or Food Safety Plans
• Conduct pre-operational and/or operational swabbing
• Conduct all Critical Control Point/Preventive Control Point critical limit checks as per the HACCP
• Conduct temperature checks and documentation
• Audit all finished product packaging lot code accuracy, make corrections when needed
• Conduct thermometer calibration as directed by quality assurance supervisor
• Place product on hold as per HACCP and/or Food Safety Plans when a deviation occurs and alert plant management accordingly
• Ensure all employees are always following GMPs
• Conduct scale and balance checks daily
• Report any food safety and quality issues to Quality Assurance supervisor and/or QA manager
• Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
• Conduct weight checks and properly document
• Perform quality control checks at the production line (process control)

 

Job Requirements include:

• Prior work experience in a quality control or assurance position
• Strong critical thinking & problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
• Past experience in food or manufacturing industries are preferred
