Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Front Counter Sales Associate on behalf of our client, a well-established automotive and truck accessory company in Lower Sackville, NS, specializing in parts, accessories, commercial vehicle equipment, and vehicle upfitting.

This is a customer-focused role where you’ll be an important part of keeping the front counter and day-to-day shop operations running smoothly. You’ll assist customers in person, over the phone, and by email, helping them select the right products, preparing quotes and orders, scheduling vehicles for service, and coordinating with the shop team.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, is comfortable using computers, and can stay organized while managing multiple priorities. Experience in automotive, parts, retail sales, or customer service is an asset, but our client is willing to provide product and industry training for the right person.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist customers at the front counter, by phone, and by email
• Help customers select truck accessories, automotive products, and parts based on their needs
• Answer questions about products, pricing, availability, and installation
• Prepare quotes, sales orders, and invoices and process customer payments
• Schedule customer vehicles for installations and service
• Order parts and products from suppliers and follow up on outstanding orders and estimated arrival times
• Receive incoming shipments, verify orders, and assist with shipping and receiving
• Maintain accurate inventory and product information
• Communicate with installers and shop staff regarding scheduled jobs and customer requirements
• Keep the front counter and customer areas organized and professional
• Safely lift and move parts and products weighing 50+ lbs as required
• Provide general administrative and operational support as needed

 

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, automotive, parts, truck accessories, or a related environment is considered an asset
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using computers, email, and point-of-sale or invoicing systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Willing and able to learn about truck accessories, automotive products, and vehicle applications
• Automotive or parts knowledge is an asset, but training is available for the right person
• Able to safely lift 50+ lbs
• Reliable transportation is required
• Steel-toed safety boots are required

 

What Our Client Offers:

• $22 – $25 per hour, depending on experience
