The Baling Machine Operator will operate and monitor industrial baling equipment used to compress recyclable materials, cardboard, plastics, scrap materials, and production waste into compact bales for storage and transportation.
Pay: $18.00 per hour

Baling Machine Operator Responsibilities
- Safely operate and monitor industrial baling machines and production equipment
- Load cardboard, plastics, recyclable materials, scrap materials, and production waste into baling equipment
- Adjust machine settings as needed to produce properly sized and compact bales
- Monitor equipment throughout the production process
- Inspect completed bales for proper weight, density, size, and quality
- Secure finished bales using wire, straps, or other approved materials
- Move completed bales and materials to designated storage areas
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, or other material handling equipment as needed
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and clear minor equipment jams and operational issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Complete production reports, inventory logs, and other required documentation
- Follow OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and environmental guidelines
- Communicate equipment problems, production concerns, and safety hazards to supervisors
Machine Operator Job Requirements
Qualified candidates should have:
- Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment, production machinery, or industrial machinery preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely operate machinery and follow established procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Previous forklift experience or certification is a plus
- Experience in warehouse, recycling, manufacturing, production, or material handling environments preferred
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
This is an active industrial position. Candidates must be able to:
- Lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently bend, twist, reach, and lift
- Work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Work around dust, noise, and varying temperatures
- Safely perform repetitive physical tasks
- Work overtime as needed
