The Manual Machinist Level I is an entry level position responsible for overseeing the basic manual operation and inspection of machined parts. Duties include operating manual lathes, milling and drilling machines, preparing and loading of parts and daily inspection and maintenance to ensure all quality requirements are met.

• Ensure parts are machined to meet production goals, including cycle time, quantity and quality.
• Operate precision tools, manual machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, chop saw, band saw, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
• Properly and safely select, align, secure and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings.
• Perform in-process inspection of machine parts to ensure manufacturing adherence to all quality requirements. Measure and check dimensions and tolerances using measuring devices, including (but not limited to) calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Perform daily maintenance on machinery. Conduct routine inspection and replace worn-out tooling as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Perform daily 6S activities to ensure organization and cleanliness of work area.
• Perform necessary transactions in ERP system to maintain accurate inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required

• 3-4+ years of machine operating experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing production environment
• Ability to stand a majority of the day and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day!

1ST SHIFT: 6am-4:30pm (Mon-Thurs), temporary assignment with possibility for full-time!
