Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable Landscape Construction Foreman to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled landscape construction professional with strong leadership abilities and hands-on experience in hardscape projects.
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year, depending on experience Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts and occasional extended days until 7:00 PM
About the Role
The successful candidate will lead and supervise a landscape construction crew while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to a high standard of quality.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in landscape construction and hardscaping, with the ability to lead a crew, work directly with customers and other trades, and take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a landscape construction crew on residential and commercial projects.
Mentor and train new employees while promoting a safety-conscious work environment.
Prepare job sites and coordinate the delivery and access of required materials.
Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within required timelines.
Install and oversee the installation of retaining walls, pavers, patios, decks, and other hardscape projects.
Read and interpret landscape design plans and ensure they are properly implemented.
Communicate professionally with customers, employees, subcontractors, and other trades.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and customer service.
Ensure all work sites comply with company and government health and safety regulations.
Ensure crew members follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Lead a winter operations crew responsible for snow and ice removal.
Operate or oversee the operation of a 1/2-ton truck, skid steer, or loader for snow removal operations as required.
Manage time effectively and ensure projects meet customer and quality expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Crew Leader or Foreman in landscape construction.
Minimum 3 years of experience supervising a landscape construction crew.
Strong hands-on experience with landscape construction and hardscaping.
Experience installing retaining walls, pavers, patios, decks, and similar projects.
Ability to read and interpret design plans.
Previous experience operating a skid steer or loader.
Experience with snow and ice removal operations is an asset.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proven ability to complete projects on time and to customer quality standards.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Professional, reliable, and courteous approach when working with customers and team members.
