Express Employment Professionals is working with an industry global leader for an autonomous, results driven Senior Accountant for their American subsidiary.  This professional will take full ownership of their US financial operations and act as a vital bridge to headquarters in Poland.

 

This role will oversee and operationally execute all accounting and tax activities for the US branch.  A critical component is the preparations and timely delivery of reliable financial data for group consolidation, meeting rigorous reporting standards of a publicly traded company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Accounting

· End-to-End Ledger Management: General Ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, & reconciliations

· Payroll & HR Administration

· Treasury & Cash Flow

2. Group Reporting & Consolidation (HQ Poland)

· Financial Reporting

· GAAP Alignment: Map and convert local financial data from US GAAP to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) for group consolidation.

· Intercompany Transactions & Collaboration

3. Internal Controls, Audit & Compliance

· Audit Facilitation

· Compliance & Process Improvement

 

Requirements

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.

· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or sole-accountant role within a multinational business, preferably with its own production facility.

· Accounting Standards: Strong practical knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS (critical for consolidation).

· IT Literacy: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with modern ERP systems.

· Key Traits: High attention to detail, strong sense of ownership, proactive communication style, and the ability to work under the strict deadlines of a publicly traded group.
