Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Chemical Blender for an opportunity in Midland, TX. This position is responsible for preparing bulk and small chemical blends while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare bulk blends and smaller blends, including drums.

• Operate and inspect forklifts; forklift certification is required.

• Complete a forklift inspection each morning before beginning other tasks.

• Remain with chemical blends at all times while blending.

• Perform a JSA each day before working in the reactor area.

• Properly fill drums and totes and clean any chemical overflow before placing them on the line.

• Tighten drum bungs according to industry torque standards.

• Label drums and totes according to company and industry standards.

• Unload and load tankers, totes, and drums as they arrive or leave for their destination.

• Verify volumes of materials being unloaded.

• Catch and deliver laboratory samples when requested.

• Immediately report, repair, and clean up leaks when safe to do so.

• Rope off areas where chemical spills occur and ensure they are cleaned up promptly.

• Maintain good housekeeping throughout the blend plant and yard.

• Sweep floors and ensure the work area is clean at the end of each day.

• Ensure the bulk blending area is secure before leaving for the day.

• Assist with monthly inventory of the entire yard.

• Maintain a positive attitude and remain prepared to perform assigned duties.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary to support the overall purpose of the position.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a forklift; forklift certification required.

• Ability to follow safety procedures and chemical-handling protocols.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work area.

• Ability to work independently and responsibly in a chemical blending environment.

• Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.

• Ability to follow company and industry standards for labeling, handling, and equipment operation.
