Our client in Edison is in need of an Outbound Coordinator.

This position involves operating a forklift in a cold storage environment while also coordinating outbound operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a cold environment and possess the necessary skills to safely operate machinery and coordinate logistics tasks.

 

Responsibilities:
• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift in a cold storage environment to move, stack, load, and unload materials or products.
• Cold Storage Management: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures for working in a cold storage environment, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Material Handling: Transport materials or products to designated storage areas or loading docks using a forklift, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures.
• Shipping and Receiving: Receive incoming shipments in the cold storage facility, verify contents against documentation, and prepare outgoing shipments for delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of materials or products to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment, especially in cold storage conditions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and temperature logs using inventory management systems or software.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns related to cold storage operations.

 

Qualifications:
• Forklift experience
• Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods and follow safety protocols for cold storage operations.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on safety while operating machinery in cold conditions.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with inventory management software or systems.
• Prior experience in outbound coordination or logistics coordination.
• Familiarity with cold chain management practices and temperature-sensitive shipping requirements.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
