Maintenance Technician

Location: Oakdale, MN

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in Oakdale, MN. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a skilled technical trade. Training is available for candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.

This role is responsible for maintaining equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and documentation of maintenance activities. The position is Monday through Friday and includes a compensated rotating on-call schedule for emergency repairs during evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and comply with company policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs, including replacing bearings, belts, and other equipment components.
• Review, recommend, and implement improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and facilities.
• Create and complete work orders and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including labor hours and repair details.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine the most effective corrective actions.
• Track maintenance costs, labor time, and equipment downtime.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including lubrication and filter replacements.
• Assist with equipment rebuilds and major repair projects.
• Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Support and promote company values and a positive team culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment is preferred.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Ability to read, write, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operations and support teams.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
