Metal Fabricator Machine Operator

Mississauga / Day Shift / Monday to Friday

 

Our client is a well-established Canadian manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered access and safety products for industrial, municipal, water, and wastewater applications. With decades of industry success, they are recognized for producing high-quality fabricated metal products and providing a collaborative, team-focused work environment.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator Machine Operator to join their production team in Mississauga.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Cut, fit, and prepare metal materials for fabrication and assembly.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, shears, ironworkers, drill presses, and milling machines.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Assemble components according to specifications.
• Track production activities and material usage.
• Assist with material handling and support other production team members as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience operating a shear, ironworker, and milling machine.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, tools, and equipment.
• Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal materials.
• Strong measuring and mathematical skills, including metric and imperial measurements.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety.
