Our client, a well-established and highly respected manufacturing organization in Mississauga, is seeking an experienced CWB Certified Aluminum MIG Welder/Fitter to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing high-quality custom fabricated products and enjoys working in a clean, modern, team-oriented environment.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, welding, and assembling custom aluminum and stainless steel products from engineered drawings while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and bills of materials to determine fabrication requirements.
• Fit, layout, tack, weld, and assemble aluminum and stainless-steel components to specification.
• Perform quality welding using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW processes as required.
• Maintain dimensional tolerances and quality standards throughout production.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drill presses, shear machines, iron workers, and other shop equipment.
• Accurately complete production reporting, labor tracking, and quality documentation.
• Conduct inspections and correct deficiencies identified during quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with general fabrication and production duties as required.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Aluminum MIG welding experience.
• Previous experience working in a CWB-certified environment.
• CWB certifications under CSA W47.1 and/or W47.2 are considered a strong asset.
• Experience with GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints.
• Solid understanding of welding procedures, fabrication techniques, and quality standards.
• Ability to fit and fabricate products accurately with minimal supervision.
• Strong mathematical and measuring skills, including metric and imperial conversions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented work ethic.
