Sit Down Forklift Operator

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Location: Fullerton, CA 

Put your forklift and warehouse experience to work in a logistics environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are essential. We’re seeking a Forklift Operator to support receiving, loading, staging, freight inspection, and container operations while following established safety and shipping procedures.

This position is suited to someone with previous related experience who can operate a sit-down forklift, handle freight carefully, complete required documentation, and work effectively as part of a team. You will be applying through Express Employment Professionals, an award-winning staffing firm.

Key Responsibilities

·         Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload containers

·         Receive, stage, and cube-out incoming freight according to established procedures

·         Inspect freight before loading and document any compromised freight, including inspection reports and photographs

·         Follow loading, shipping, receiving, container, and safety procedures

·         Complete receiving documentation and daily department activity reports accurately and on time

·         Use handheld equipment for receiving and loading

·         Check forklifts daily and maintain a clean, debris-free work area

·         Attend daily start-up meetings and work with supervisors and coworkers on loading decisions

·         Complete loading tasks within required timeframes

·         Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

·         High school diploma or GED

·         Minimum 6 months of related experience

·         Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

·         Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence

·         Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees

·         Basic math skills involving money, weight, volume, and distance

·         Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and address problems in standardized situations

·         Forklift Certification – Company Certified is a plus

·         Ability to work effectively as part of a team
