Experienced Draftsman

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our growing design team. This role focuses on producing permit-ready construction documents, 3D concepts, and detailed fabrication drawings for residential projects. The ideal candidate enjoys solving construction challenges through accurate, buildable plans and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D concepts, floor plans, and construction drawings.
• Assist with permit submittals and construction documentation.
• Perform plan reviews, revisions, and drawing updates.
• Develop framing layouts, elevations, sections, and connection details.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, production teams, and field personnel.
• Prepare permit sets and respond to jurisdictional feedback.
• Ensure drawings meet manufacturing standards, installation requirements, and project schedules.
• Identify constructability issues before production begins.

Qualifications

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp preferred.
• Residential drafting or construction experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of wood framing, residential building systems, and structural concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.
• Familiarity with residential building codes and permitting requirements.
• Experience with panelized or modular construction is a plus.
• Familiarity with rendering software is a plus.
• Degree in drafting, design, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills when working with design, production, and field teams.
