As a QA Inspector III, you are the last set of eyes on the part before it ships. You will run first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined fasteners—working from prints and GD&T callouts with calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, go/no-go gages, and an optical comparator—and back that up with mechanical testing (hardness, tensile, and Charpy), positive material identification, and coating thickness verification. You will confirm stamp marking, document every result, and make the accept or reject call on parts headed into critical service. This is hands-on floor work for an inspector who reads a drawing carefully, keeps clean records, and only passes what they are sure of. Training is provided on the mechanical test equipment.

• 1^st article and in-process inspections are performed for machining operations.
• Final inspection and acceptance duties
• Verification of stamp marking
• Mechanical testing: hardness, tensile, and Charpy (job training provided as needed)
• Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing
• Coating thickness testing

Experienced with the following tools:

• Caliper/height gage
• Micrometer – Outer Diameter Micrometer, Blade Micrometer, and Pitch Micrometer.
• Dial indicators and use
• Use of go/no-go gauges, pin selection, and use.
• Optical comparator
• GD&T Concepts: positional, circular runout, and total runout.
• Drawing interpretation in accordance with ASME Y14.5
