Express Employment Professionals of Lynchburg is currently hiring Event Setup & Teardown Associates for a temporary project on October 2nd and October 3rd.

Pay: $19.38/hour
Schedule: Day Shift
Location: Lynchburg, VA

This is a physically demanding position working with a local event management team. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing heavy lifting throughout the shift.

Job Duties

Event Setup:

• Assist with setting up large event tents
• Set up tables, chairs, and inflatables
• Unload trucks and move equipment
• Drive stakes and secure event structures
• Follow instructions from onsite event managers
• Remain on-site until all setup duties are completed

Event Operations & Teardown:

• Assist with concessions and buffet operations
• Stock supplies and support event activities
• Interact professionally with event guests
• Help pack and load equipment after the event
• Assist with tearing down tents, inflatables, tables, chairs, and other event equipment
• Work as part of a team to clean up the event site

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor throughout the shift
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Must be able to follow directions from event managers and supervisors

Dress Code

Workers should arrive prepared for outdoor work and bring:

• Work gloves
• Sunblock
• Bug repellent

For event operations, employees must wear:

• Jean shorts or long pants
• Plain T-shirt (no large graphics)
• Closed-toe shoes

A Compass Rose Events T-shirt will be provided and must be worn during the event.
