Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our family-owned orthopedic medical team. The CAD Technician will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed 2D and 3D designs related to orthopedic devices, implants, prosthetics, and medical equipment. The ideal candidate should have experience in medical CAD design, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of anatomical structures.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed CAD drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation of orthopedic devices, including prosthetics, braces, and implants.
• Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards and are accurate for manufacturing and patient-specific needs.
• Utilize specialized CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to develop and revise technical drawings.
• Review and update existing designs based on feedback from clinical staff and patients.
• Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure accurate translation of designs into physical products.
• Perform design modifications to improve the fit, function, and performance of orthopedic devices.
• Maintain design documentation, including version control and regulatory compliance records.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic technology and CAD software tools.

Qualifications:
Education:
o Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer-Aided Design, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in the medical or orthopedic industry.
o Experience working with orthopedic devices, prosthetics, or similar medical equipment is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 3D modeling software.
o Familiarity with medical imaging techniques (CT, MRI) and translating imaging data into 3D models is a plus.
o Knowledge of medical device regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) is beneficial.
Soft Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with medical professionals and production teams.
o Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
