Location: La Porte, TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

 

Key Responsibilities

Field Audits

• Safety equipment (fall harness, respirators, PPE, etc.) inspections;
• On site fleet vehicle inspections;
• Ensuring compliance of client and company procedures and policies on site;
• Maintain on site client contact;
• Maintain and stock site first aid kits.
• Maintain site Medical Clinic Information and assist with all medical issues and First Aid Treatment.

Pre Job Preparation

• Work with Operations to complete pre job load-out of safety equipment, safety supplies and transportation requirements;
• Field Safety Representation
• When on assignment, work with operations to ensure that all permitting, regulations, safety meetings, JSA’s, etc. are completed by the assigned supervisor on a shift to shift basis;
• Conduct routine checks and audits of the individuals working on tasks to ensure safe work practices are always in place;
• Conduct regular meetings with site safety personnel to ensure they are aware of our programs and be knowledgeable of any areas they think we should improve.
• Conduct investigations on ALL near misses, and first aid cases. If an incident is greater the Field Safety Supervisor and/or Corporate Safety Manager will assist in the investigation.
• Report all incidents, regardless of size, to your safety supervisor.
• Always be involved if there is a confined space entry by Phoenix employees. Ensure there are no short cuts and the permitting is correct.
• Assist the job supervisor in every way that is possible to make the job a safe and quality success.
• Maintain an example of being a SAFE WORKER in all of your tasks.
• Make sure that employees are wearing proper equipment and following safety procedures.

Post Job Completion

• Ensure all safety equipment is returned to the safety department.
• Complete all paperwork and turn in to the appropriate division in a timely manner;
• Follow up on all action items assigned during job assignment.
