Quality Control Technician

Location: Greene, NY
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Rotating 12-Hour Day Shift
Position Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing food manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to help ensure products meet quality, safety, and production standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role works closely with Production, Quality, and Operations teams and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on quality assurance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze in-process product samples
• Monitor production processes and critical quality parameters
• Verify raw materials, lot numbers, and expiration dates
• Conduct inspections of equipment and components prior to production use
• Document quality data, observations, and testing results
• Report quality concerns and deviations promptly
• Support process improvements and quality initiatives
• Communicate effectively with production and quality teams during shift transitions

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
• 1-3 years of manufacturing, laboratory, or quality control experience preferred
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or similar quality systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping skills
• Ability to interpret procedures and technical information
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain on your feet for up to 12 hours
• Lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing
• Ability to work from ladders, elevated areas, confined spaces, and varying temperature environments
