A busy manufacturer and job shop foundry specializing in high-quality Aluminum Die Casting and Zinc Die Casting using a unique Vacuum Die Casting Process is looking for a Parts Trimmer to join their team in Sun Valley.

Summary: The Parts Trimmer is responsible for removing excess metal, flash, gates, and runners from die cast parts to meet quality and dimensional standards. This role involves operating trimming presses, hand tools, and power tools while inspecting parts for defects and ensuring compliance with company specifications and safety requirements. The Trimmer works closely with production and quality teams to maintain efficient workflow and consistent product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Produce trimmed die cast products at a rate as defined by management.
• Ensure your assigned trim machine is properly lubricated.
• Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
• Ensure the trim press and trim die are operational.
• Conduct random visual inspections of products being trimmed and notify supervisor if there is a problem.
• Clean the machine and surrounding area at the end of each shift by applying mechanical experience, job training and good communication to the end that correctly trimmed die cast products are produced at high quality and volume.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in die casting or metal manufacturing, including trimming operations.
• Strong knowledge of trimming presses, fixtures, hand tools, and quality inspection methods.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand part specifications.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Strong team-building skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. as required.
• Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment typical of a die casting environment.
