Are you an experienced Packaging Prepress Professional looking to join a stable and growing organization?

We are seeking a Packaging Prepress Technician to support the preparation and production of high-quality packaging graphics for Flexographic and Offset printing applications. This position offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading software, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a critical role in bringing packaging artwork from concept to press-ready production.

This is a first-shift opportunity ideal for candidates with experience in packaging graphics, prepress production, print preparation, color management, and Esko workflows.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Packaging Prepress Technician, you will be responsible for preparing customer artwork and production files for high-quality packaging manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating final production-ready artwork using Adobe Creative Suite and Esko software
• Preparing files through trapping, bleeding, screening, and color separations
• Creating and verifying barcodes for packaging applications
• Building dielines, templates, and production layouts
• Developing stepping layouts and applying press-specific marks
• Performing color corrections for both Flexographic and Offset printing processes
• Making revisions, updates, and light typesetting changes to existing artwork
• Generating customer proofs and production approvals
• Creating realistic 3D package renderings
• Managing digital files, workflows, and production assets
• Ensuring all artwork meets customer specifications and print requirements
• Maintaining accurate production documentation and project records
• Participating in pre-production meetings with operations, sales, and account management teams
• Monitoring project deadlines and communicating job status updates
• Identifying and resolving production issues before they impact manufacturing

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will have experience in packaging graphics, print production, or prepress operations.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts, Printing Technology, Packaging, Design, or a related field
• 3-5 years of Packaging Prepress experience
• Strong understanding of Flexographic and Offset printing processes
• Experience working with various packaging substrates and materials
• Advanced proficiency with:
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe InDesign
  • Esko Automation Engine
  • Esko ArtPro+
  • Esko Suite
