Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to repair, adjust, and maintain industrial production and processing machinery in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.

This position will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment improvements with minimal direction and oversight. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and industrial electrical knowledge, advanced troubleshooting skills, and experience working with manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and tooling
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues with industrial production equipment
• Read and understand electrical schematics to diagnose and repair electrical problems
• Inspect equipment, materials, products, and packaging to identify errors, defects, or potential equipment issues
• Observe gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure equipment is operating properly
• Repair, adjust, lubricate, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment
• Diagnose equipment problems using appropriate troubleshooting techniques
• Oversee repairs or replacement of broken or malfunctioning machinery components
• Reassemble equipment following inspections, testing, and repairs
• Examine parts for defects, breakage, or excessive wear
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance activities
• Operate a band saw, lathe, and milling machines to fabricate simple components
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, hand tools, and equipment
• Make recommendations for improvements to the maintenance inventory system
• Work with Automation Engineering to improve preventative maintenance procedures and equipment
• Update maintenance procedures as needed
• Work on special projects as assigned
• Coach and assist junior technicians with equipment diagnosis and repairs
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Support a safe and quality-focused work environment by following all applicable policies and procedures

Qualifications / Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in a technical field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience OR 2 years of technical training
• Training in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery required
• Training in industrial electrical repair and maintenance required
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair significant electrical issues
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Ability to operate a band saw, lathe, and milling machine to fabricate simple components
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with other team members
• Ability to coach and assist less-experienced technicians
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• This position requires successful completion of a background screening after a conditional offer of employment, in accordance with Washington State law.

• Standing and walking throughout the workday
• Handling and grasping tools, equipment, and components
