HVAC Counter Sales Representative

Location: Johnson City, NY
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

A well-established industrial supplier is seeking a motivated Counter Sales Representative to support customers, process orders, and provide product recommendations. This position is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building relationships with contractors, technicians, and business customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the sales counter and over the phone
• Process customer orders and provide product information
• Prepare quotes and recommend additional products when appropriate
• Enter and retrieve order, inventory, and pricing information within company systems
• Follow up on customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Maintain knowledge of products, inventory, and warehouse locations
• Support inventory counts and warehouse organization
• Assist with general branch housekeeping and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Sales or counter service experience preferred
• Computer and data entry experience
• Ability to learn technical product information
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Dependable, professional, and customer-focused attitude

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments
