We are seeking a reliable Construction Helper / Field Technician Assistant to support project managers and field technicians with daily job-site activities. This position will assist with cleanup, moving equipment and materials, handing tools to technicians, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Construction, mechanical, or HVAC ductwork experience is a plus, but candidates with a strong safety mindset and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Perform general daily cleanup, including sweeping, vacuuming, picking up materials, and maintaining an organized work area
Move equipment and materials and assist project managers and field technicians as needed
Provide technicians with tools and materials while they work
Serve as a safety watch when technicians are working from ladders
Perform simple ladder-related tasks, such as closing ceiling tiles and retrieving materials from trailers
Follow proper PPE, eye protection, ladder, hand-tool, air-tool, and electric-tool safety procedures
Communicate any unsafe conditions or hazards observed on the job site
Follow all general construction and workplace safety procedures
High school education or equivalent preferred
General construction or repair experience preferred
Mechanical or HVAC ductwork experience is a plus
Basic understanding of job-site safety
Must be dependable and able to follow safety instructions
Must be comfortable working around ladders, tools, equipment, and materials
Ability to communicate unsafe conditions to supervisors
Candidates must be willing to follow all required safety procedures, including:
Basic ladder safety
Hand-tool safety
Proper PPE and attire
Eye safety
Air and electric tool safety
General construction and job-site safety procedures
Must be drug-free and meet company drug-screening requirements
Background requirements include no felony convictions involving assault or theft
