Accounting Assistant

 

Pay: $14.00 per hour

 

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant for a local company. This is a great opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual looking to grow their accounting and administrative experience.

 

Position Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Enter and maintain accurate financial transactions.
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and payment records.
• Assist with account and bank reconciliations.
• Support billing, collections, and payment processing.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
• Prepare spreadsheets and basic financial reports.
• Research and help resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or related education is preferred.
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• QuickBooks or other accounting software experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
