Landscape Designer (Multiple Experience Levels) in Ascension Parish

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Landscape Designer on behalf of a premier landscape design-build contractor serving the Baton Rouge and Ascension Parish area. We are seeking creative, detail-oriented professionals with experience ranging from entry-level design support to senior-level design-build project leadership.

Position Summary

This role offers the opportunity to design residential and commercial landscape projects while collaborating with clients, estimators, and operations teams. Depending on experience, responsibilities may include landscape design, 3D visualization, estimating, client consultation, sales support, and project management. 

Available Levels

Junior Landscape Designer

• Assist senior designers with project development
• Modify and revise landscape plans
• Prepare planting plans and presentation materials
• Learn company design standards and workflows

Landscape Designer

• Create independent 2D landscape designs
• Conduct site evaluations and field measurements
• Select appropriate plant materials
• Coordinate design revisions and project documentation

2D / 3D Landscape Designer

• Develop detailed 2D construction plans
• Create 3D renderings and presentations
• Design outdoor living, hardscape, and landscape concepts
• Present visual concepts to clients

Landscape Designer / Estimator

• Perform material quantity takeoffs
• Prepare labor and material cost estimates
• Ensure designs are practical and buildable
• Support proposal development and project handoff

Senior Design-Build Professional

• Lead client meetings and consultations
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Oversee design development and coordination
• Partner with operations teams to ensure project success

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape design, landscape architecture, construction, outdoor living design, or related fields
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Experience with Land F/X, VIP3D, SketchUp, Lumion, or related design software is a plus
• Strong understanding of plant materials and landscape construction methods
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments
• Estimating, project management, and sales experience are highly valued for senior-level opportunities
