CDL Class B Driver – Job Aid

Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00AM Start Time
Position: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Location: Kansas City area
Routes: Local; home daily
Overtime: Occasional weekend overtime during busy periods

Job Duties:

• Operate a Class B commercial collection truck on local routes.
• Collect and transport yard waste, leaves, brush, and organic materials.
• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch and report vehicle or route issues.
• Assist with collection/loading duties as needed.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Frequently enter and exit the truck and lift up to approximately 50 lbs.

Requirements:

• Valid Class B CDL or higher.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Acceptable MVR/driving record.
• 1+ year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Air-brake qualification/endorsement as required.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements for a safety-sensitive position.
• Must be available Monday–Friday starting at 6:00AM and occasional weekend overtime.
