A leading steel manufacturing and processing company in the Valley City, Ohio area is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join its growing team. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in steel industry sales, manufacturing sales, or industrial B2B sales who are looking to build customer relationships and drive business growth.

The successful candidate will manage customer accounts, generate quotes, develop new business opportunities, and serve as a key liaison between customers, production, and purchasing teams. Strong knowledge of steel products and manufacturing processes is required.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain relationships with existing customers.
Provide exceptional customer service and account support.
Conduct routine outreach to current and prospective customers.

Sales & Business Development

Generate new business through cold calling, email campaigns, and lead follow-up.
Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from prospective customers.
Develop opportunities within the steel manufacturing and industrial markets.
Participate in marketing and customer acquisition initiatives.

Quoting & Order Management

Prepare accurate customer quotations utilizing inventory availability, processing requirements, and material costs.
Coordinate with purchasing and production departments to meet delivery deadlines.
Collect detailed product specifications and customer requirements.
Create and process purchase orders and production work orders.

Sales Reporting & Communication

Maintain activity reports and customer contact records.
Communicate regularly with sales leadership regarding opportunities and market conditions.
Provide customer feedback, pricing trends, and competitive intelligence.

Qualifications

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of Manufacturing Sales experience
Minimum 2 years of Business-to-Business (B2B) Sales experience
Prior experience within the Steel Industry
Working knowledge of steel bar products and manufacturing processes
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent customer service abilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset

Cold Drawn Steel Bars
Turned, Ground & Polished (TGP) Shafting
Carbon Steel Grades
Induction Hardened Shafting
Linear Shafting
