Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift / Distribution Operator to join our monument production and distribution team. This position involves operating sit-down Toyota and Crown forklifts to safely move, load, unload, stage, and distribute heavy monuments and stone materials.

The ideal candidate has previous experience handling heavy materials, understands safe forklift operation, and is comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse and production environment.

This is not a forklift-only position. The successful candidate must be comfortable spending part of the workday performing other physical production, loading, unloading, staging, and distribution tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift Operations

• Safely operate sit-down Toyota and Crown forklifts.

• Load and unload monuments, stone, pallets, crates, and other heavy materials.

• Move and stage finished monuments and stone products throughout the facility.

• Safely maneuver heavy and oversized materials in tight spaces.

• Inspect loads and ensure materials are properly secured before moving.

• Perform daily forklift inspections and report mechanical or safety issues.

• Follow all company forklift and material-handling procedures.

Monument & Heavy Material Handling

• Handle and transport heavy monuments and stone products safely and carefully.

• Understand the importance of protecting stone surfaces and finished monuments from damage.

• Assist with loading trucks for deliveries and unloading incoming materials.

• Properly stage monuments and materials for production, shipment, or installation.

• Use proper lifting, rigging, securing, and material-handling techniques as required.

• Work safely around other employees, equipment, vehicles, and production operations.

Distribution & Warehouse Duties

• Prepare orders and materials for shipment or delivery.

• Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas.

• Assist with receiving and checking incoming materials.

• Keep loading areas, warehouse spaces, and staging areas clean and organized.

• Assist with securing materials for transportation.

• Help maintain accurate organization of monuments and production materials.

General Production Support

• Assist production teams with tasks when forklift operation is not required.

• Perform physical labor including loading, unloading, moving, staging, cleaning, and organizing materials.

• Support the team with general warehouse and production duties.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous forklift operating experience required.

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts, preferably Toyota and/or Crown.

• Previous experience handling heavy materials required.

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, construction, stone, or monument environment is a plus.

• Ability to safely maneuver heavy and oversized materials.

• Strong understanding of forklift and workplace safety.

• Ability to work around heavy machinery and production equipment.

• Good spatial awareness and attention to detail.

• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.

• Must be comfortable performing physical work throughout the day.

Important Job Requirement

This is not a position where you will sit on a forklift all day.

The Forklift / Distribution Operator will spend a portion of the day operating the forklift, but will also be expected to assist with loading, unloading, staging, moving materials, warehouse organization, monument handling, cleaning, and other production-related duties.

Candidates should be comfortable with a hands-on, physically active workday.

• Ability to safely handle heavy materials and equipment.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.

• Ability to work around dust, noise, heavy machinery, and stone products.

• Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Work Environment

• Monument production and distribution facility.

• Indoor and outdoor work areas.

• Exposure to stone, dust, noise, forklifts, trucks, and other industrial equipment.

• Work may involve varying weather conditions when loading or unloading materials.

• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.

• Strict adherence to company safety procedures is expected.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
