Production & Monument Cleaner

Pay: $25–$30 per hour, BOE (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Production & Monument Cleaner to support our monument production facility. This position combines monument production assistance, stone handling, post-production cleaning, and general facility maintenance.

The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working around stone, dust, machinery, and cleaning equipment. This role is important to maintaining a clean, safe, organized production environment while ensuring finished monuments meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Monument Production & Stone Work

• Assist with monument production and finishing processes.

• Operate or assist with sandblasting and etching equipment as trained.

• Apply and remove stencils accurately according to approved layouts.

• Verify stencil placement and design layouts before etching.

• Safely load, unload, and position stone monuments and materials.

• Handle stone weighing approximately 100–200 lbs. using proper lifting and material-handling procedures.

• Perform post-etching cleanup to ensure monuments have a clean, finished appearance.

• Clean stone surfaces and prepare monuments for finishing, delivery, or installation.

• Follow company procedures and manufacturer guidelines for monument production, lettering, carving, and setting.

• Inspect finished work and report quality issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Cleaning & Facility Maintenance

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe production areas throughout the workday.

• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and wash floors, walls, work areas, and other surfaces.

• Clean and maintain production equipment, tools, racks, and workstations.

• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and power washers.

• Clean and maintain restrooms, locker rooms, break areas, and common areas.

• Properly handle, store, and use cleaning products and chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and applicable safety procedures.

• Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.

• Perform basic facility maintenance tasks as assigned.

• Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns promptly.

• Help maintain a professional, clean, and respectful appearance throughout the facility.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in monument production, manufacturing, construction, industrial cleaning, landscaping, or a related field is a plus.

• Ability to safely lift, move, and position heavy materials weighing approximately 100–200 lbs.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow layouts, instructions, and production specifications.

• Ability to work safely around machinery, stone, dust, and cleaning chemicals.

• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and proper handling of chemicals and heavy materials.

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

• Dependable, punctual, and willing to perform physically demanding work.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new production processes and equipment.

• Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and appropriate work attire.

• Valid driver's license preferred/required, with no more than 6 points, if driving company vehicles is part of the position.

Physical Requirements

This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach frequently.

• Lift and move heavy stone and production materials.

• Perform repetitive motions.

• Work around dust, noise, water, cleaning products, and industrial equipment.

• Work both independently and as part of a production team.

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor work environments.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions.

• Exposure to stone dust, cleaning chemicals, noise, and heavy machinery.

• Work may take place in production areas, cleaning areas, storage areas, and monument processing spaces.

• Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.

• Employees are expected to follow all company safety policies and procedures.
