Express Employment is looking for a MECHANIC l.

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay: $24 - $26 per hour

Work Location: Oroville, CA

Job Description:
•    Engages in the maintenance and repair of machinery and various equipment, such as installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining facility equipment
•    Must be mechanically inclined with industrial machinery knowledge
•    Be able to work with tools and diagnostic equipment
•    Visually inspect equipment, diagnose issues, locate causes of malfunctions, and remove and repair defective parts
•    Start and test machines and equipment to test operating status
•    Dismantles machines and equipment for repair and maintenance
•    Proficient in using power and hand tools
•    Must be able to read layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings
•    Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, lifts and hoists, cutting tools, welders, torches, and other various tools
•    Welding and fabrication skills must be at a high level
•    May set up and operate lathe, drill press, and grinder to fabricate necessary parts for repairs
•    Inspects machinery and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, and repairs as needed
•    Performs other duties as assigned
•    Responsible for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Guidelines
•    Responsible for compliance with Cal-OSHA and the company's Injury Illness Prevention Program, Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs

Requirements:
•    Current mechanical maintenance knowledge as well as machinery operations (minimum of 4 years of experience)
•    Welding and fabrication skills (high level- welding certification a plus)
•    Knowledge and experience to operate a forklift
•    Skill to use a computer and various software
•    Ability to learn and apply new technology and be able to train others
•    Ability to prioritize work orders and duties
•    Ability to resolve recurring problems and issues
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
•    Jobs at times can require strenuous work
•    Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather
•    Be able to walk, climb stairs, and bend up to 8 hours a day
•    Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel, twist
•    Ability to lift to 50 lbs
•    Be able to sit, stand, and walk around the work area/ warehouse 80% of the time
•    Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
