Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Technician to join the team at a chemical manufacturing facility in Monroe. This role is responsible for supporting production quality compliance, product testing, accurate labeling, quality documentation, and follow-up to ensure products meet established standards.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, has strong math and problem-solving skills, communicates well, and takes personal responsibility for accuracy and follow-through.

Experience in chemical manufacturing, printing, textiles, or a related industry is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality control line checks throughout the production process.

• Ensure production quality procedures and QC requirements are consistently followed.

• Verify accurate labeling of all products, including finished goods and raw materials.

• Perform product testing and accurately document test results.

• Manage product retain testing and appropriate follow-up.

• Perform testing related to long-term product stability.

• Identify quality issues, communicate findings, and participate in appropriate follow-up and corrective actions.

• Maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and test results.

• Use Excel and other computer systems to document, track, and communicate quality information.

• Perform calculations involving percentages, dilutions, ratios, averages, and basic algebra.

• Work closely with production and other departments to address quality concerns and maintain compliance.

• Become fully cross-trained as an Applications Technician and provide support in that capacity as needed.

• Follow all company safety, quality, production, and compliance procedures.

• Maintain a high level of productivity, responsiveness, and attention to detail throughout the workday.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous quality control, quality assurance, laboratory, or manufacturing experience preferred.

• Experience in chemical, printing, textile, coatings, or related manufacturing industries is highly desirable.

• Strong basic math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, dilutions, ratios, averages, and basic algebraic calculations.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent active listening skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to remain composed and professional when addressing problems or unexpected situations.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
