The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements to prepare accurate and competitive quotes for door installation projects. This role is critical in helping us win projects profitably and deliver value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications to assess project scope and materials.

• Perform on-site visits (if applicable) to assess existing conditions.

• Calculate labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements.

• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and proposals to clients and project managers.

• Collaborate with the sales team, project managers, and suppliers to ensure pricing accuracy and job feasibility.

• Maintain an organized database of estimates and job records for reference and audits.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest value-engineering alternatives when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally in door hanging, carpentry, construction, or related trades.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.

• Proficient with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Valid driver’s license (if site visits are required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of residential and commercial door systems, hardware, and installation practices.

• Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
