Position Summary: 

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused Order Pullers / Material Handlers with previous experience working with building materials and operating a forklift. This is a physically demanding position responsible for accurately pulling customer orders, safely moving materials, and maintaining an efficient flow of products throughout the yard.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, understands building materials, and is comfortable working in an active outdoor/production environment.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

• Accurately pull, stage, and prepare building-material orders for customers and deliveries.
  Safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and organize products. 
• Handle, carry, stack, and organize lumber and other building materials to maintain an efficient flow of inventory. 
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Verify that orders are complete and that the correct materials and quantities are pulled. 
• Follow established safety procedures and practices at all times.
• Keep work areas and material storage areas organized and safe.
• Perform additional warehouse, yard, and material-handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

• Previous building material, construction supply, or similar experience.
• Previous forklift operating experience. 
• Experience pulling and staging customer or delivery orders. 
• Knowledge of safe material-handling practices and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to accuracy when pulling orders.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

 

This is a physical, hands-on position that requires candidates to be comfortable working around lumber and building materials.

 

• Ability to frequently lift 50lbs consistently 
• Ability to perform tasks involving lifting, pushing, kneeling, climbing, carrying, and stacking materials.
• Comfortable working in a lumber yard/production environment where there may be temperature changes, dust, noise, and moving mechanical equipment.
• Must be able to work safely around forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

What We're Looking For

The strongest candidate will be someone who can hit the ground running in a yard environment. Previous experience recognizing and handling building materials, safely operating a forklift, and accurately pulling orders will be highly valued.

 

Pay Range: $17.00–$19.00/hour based on relevant experience
