Houseman

Position Summary

The Houseman supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. At a resort, the role also helps ensure a relaxed, high-quality guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver linens, towels, and supplies to housekeeping staff
Clean and maintain public areas (lobby, walkways, restrooms, pool areas, beach access points)
Remove trash, dirty linens, and recycling from guest rooms and service areas
Assist room attendants with tasks such as stripping beds and restocking carts
Set up and break down furniture for events or guest needs
Ensure housekeeping storage areas are clean and organized
Report maintenance issues (plumbing, lighting, AC, etc.) to the appropriate department
Respond quickly to guest requests (extra towels, toiletries, etc.)
Help maintain outdoor areas, which may include light sweeping or tidying beachfront spaces

Skills & Qualifications

Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Team-oriented with good communication skills
English and/or spanish is okay for the role
