Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and portioning meals, snacks, and beverages

• Assemble food trays according to established guidelines

• Serve meals and assist with cafeteria or food service operations

• Stock food, beverages, utensils, and other supplies

• Maintain clean and organized food preparation and service areas

• Wash dishes, trays, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment as needed

• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures

• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies

• Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and service areas

• Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff

• Follow all facility policies regarding food safety, hygiene, and infection control

• Perform additional food service duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous food service, dietary aide, cafeteria, restaurant, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred

• Experience in a hospital, healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service environment is a plus

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety

• Dependable with good attendance and punctuality

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to lift and carry food trays, supplies, and kitchen items

• Comfortable working as part of a team

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
