Job Title: Mixer - A Shift
Pay Rate: $21.50/hour
Schedule/Shift: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday 5am-5pm
Employment Type: Evaluation Hire (Temp-to-Hire)
Summary:
The Mixer is responsible for preparing, measuring, and blending ingredients according to production work orders to support pet treat manufacturing operations. This role ensures accurate formula preparation, proper documentation, and compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards while maintaining product quality and production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, measure, and mix ingredients according to detailed production work orders while verifying staged materials before use.
- Record lot numbers, complete production documentation, and perform data entry accurately.
- Operate mixing equipment safely and efficiently while assisting production personnel throughout the manufacturing process.
- Follow all pre- and post-inspection procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, quality, and GMP standards while communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, with basic math skills for measurements and batching.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred; high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift and handle materials up to 60 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions while working independently or as part of a team.
- Forklift experience preferred with the ability to obtain certification; must be at least 18 years of age.

- Food manufacturing environment
- Exposure to heat, noise, dust, and manufacturing odors
- Frequent standing, bending, stooping, squatting, and lifting
- Fast-paced production setting requiring a constant focus on safety and quality
Dress Code:
- Steel-toed or composite-toed boots extending at least 6 inches above the ankle
