Our client, a well-established restaurant in Mississauga, is seeking a reliable and hardworking line cook to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stability, professional growth, and the potential to secure a long-term position with a reputable employer.
What Our Client Offers:
- Competitive starting wage of $25.00+/hour (based on experience)
- Consistent daytime schedule, Monday to Saturday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Sundays and a day in between off
- Opportunity for permanent hire
What You'll Be Doing:
- Working closely with the head chef to ensure efficient kitchen operations and consistent food quality
- Cutting, washing, and preparing vegetables and other ingredients for daily service
- Cooking and preparing pasta dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Grilling meats and proteins while maintaining proper cooking temperatures and presentation
- Assembling menu items and plated dishes with attention to detail and consistency
- Preparing and organizing catering orders for the following day's deliveries and events
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with food safety standards
- Assisting with general kitchen duties to support smooth service during busy periods
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering role
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
